Staring up at the night sky begs many questions: is there intelligent life elsewhere in the universe? Were we put on this small blue dot by a higher power? Can we colonize an Earth-like planet and fix all the mistakes we made here? NYC noise punks EXPOLLUTANTS have answered all of these questions with a resounding NO. Their 2022 self-titled EP blasted off with engines powered by buzzing guitars and radioactive high-pitched drones. Their 2023 follow-up "Failed Earth / Stolen Universe" finds them in the smoldering wreckage on a hostile new world. They survey their surroundings with the cosmic scope of a psych rock band and approach them with the fang-toothed aggression of hardcore. Sludgy vocals lurch through the atmosphere as chunky bass and guitar riffs combined with vicious drumming push against this new planet’s increased gravity.
